Brilliant Compensation
“Another Hype-Driven Tool or Your Answer To Avoiding Rejection and Increasing Duplication?“
We’ve All Been There…
You’re sitting across the table, facing your friend who’s arms are folded. He’s looking around and he’s obviously uncomfortable…
“But, you’re not understanding,” you say. “The more people you find, the more time you’ll have, because you only have so much time to do the work yourself!”
Shaking his head, you realize you have to let go…
Your friendship is more important than any business partnership you could possibly have. And anyway, he simply just isn’t open to the idea that you’re desperately trying to get through to him.
You lean back, tell him that you accept his position and offer to pay for lunch.
If only your friend would listen to what you were saying, then he wouldn’t have to work fifty hours a week and still worry about his retirement savings. If only you said the right things at the right time, so he could understand what you were offering: he could’ve made a clear-headed decision about it – regardless if it was “Not for me”…
If only you could say the right things, every time…
The Problem
If you’re building a Network Marketing business (also known as Multi-Level Marketing or MLM), the scenario above might seem familliar to you. Those of us who have taken the plunge and signed a distributor agreement, have been in or have been dreading situations very similar to this.
You take the risk of introducing a friend to the concept, hoping it could help them and looking forward to working with them, but also know there is the possibility of getting rejected – maybe, to the point where they could change their opinion of you and see you as some kind of “snake-oil salesman.”
We need the people around us and it hurts when they misunderstand our honest intentions.
What makes it worse, is that you might be new to the industry. You may not have had a lot of success yet – and even if you have, there are people in your organisation that have not.
The fact is, that from a logical point of view, you don’t really need to be successful to become successful. You have every right to share a concept if you understand it – in other words, there is absolutely nothing wrong with sharing a good idea.
However, being successful can make it a lot easier – people are emotional creatures and tend not to think about things logically. The question is: if you haven’t quite won yet, what do you do?
The answer is simple: Borrow somebody else’s success!
If you know that your opportunity is legit: with legitimate products, a fair marketing plan and the potential to actually make a positive difference to those you come into contact with – then it would be wrong not to tell them about it.
Our prospects generally don’t know what we know about Network Marketing – that’s why they’re still prospects! The answer is to build a bridge between their knowledge of how to evaluate a conventional business and their knowledge of Network Marketing – or lack thereof.
The bridge, is the reason for the existence of this Web-site – a video called “Brilliant Compensation.”

First, Some Background…
Brilliant Compensation was first produced to be an alternative recruitment tool for the Network Marketing industry. Instead of focussing on emotion and hype to recruit people through their excitement, it focusses on being educational and factual – it takes the industry, breaks it up into smaller sections and explains it in conventional business terms that anyone can relate to.
The presentation is completely generic and educational – it contains only information on how Network Marketing works as a business and
why it has become such a huge industry, world-wide.
The video is presented by Tim Sales, a successful MLM entrepreneur (he built an organisation of over 50,000 active distributors) in conjunction with Dr. Charles King: at the time, a professor of Marketing at the University of Harvard.
Like many of us, Dr. King was once a skeptic and believed that Network Marketing was not a genuine business system. However, he decided to investigate and now actually teaches a course in Network Marketing at the University of Illinois, in Chicago (at the time of this writing).
Brilliant Compensation covers the four principles of evaluating any business, in-depth:
- The need for a huge expanding market,
- why a unique consumable product is important – in terms of competition,
- how trends and timing can affect the market and
- the ability to employ others, so that you can get more done – in other words, leverage.
The Benefits Of Using Brilliant Compensation
So, what are the advantages and disadvantages of actually using Brilliant Compensation in the recruitment process?
First, the drawbacks:
- The full version is quite long – The original version is the most effective, but also fairly long – it weighs in at over an hour. However, the animated version is much shorter and lasts for about 30 minutes.
- A focus on American terms and concepts – Tim Sales and Dr. King are both Americans and they use examples which are fairly familliar to those who live in the United States, but are less familliar to the rest of us.
However, it can still be used in any country as the basic concepts contained in it remain the same. Also, the DVDs as well as on-line versions are available in a number of different languages.
We believe that the advantages outweigh the disadvantages… So much so, that we use Brilliant Compensation very heavily in our own recruitment efforts – in fact, no one is allowed to join our own down-lines without seeing it first!
We believe, the main benefits are:
- It handles objections and questions – It properly handles objections like “Is it a pyramid?” and “Where does the money come from?” – and it does it every time, the same way, without our help.
- It reduces the potential for rejection – And thus increases the potential for duplication! People are more likely to build their networks, when its easier to do so.
- No pressure to “Fake it until you make it” – Tim does the presentation and he’s already successful – you’re just delivering the message. There’s no need to act like you’re successful if you’re still getting started.
- Build your network on-line – Reduced mailing fees is definitely a plus. There is an on-line version available as well as an off-line version – combined with a few other services around the Internet, you can build your Network Marketing business from your bedroom.
Conclusion
Looking back, this review reads more like a recommendation than a review – with good reason. Network Marketing has had its share of “get-rich-quick” scammers coming in and making it difficult for those of us who love the industry for what it truly offers – an honest, solid business system.
We believe that Brilliant Compensation is one of the keys to turning the industry back into something we can all be proud of.
We ourselves, would not be in Network Marketing if it wasn’t for Tim Sales’ excellent tool – it just simply helps to make our recruitment efforts more professional and we can’t recommend it enough.
